What VoicePlug sells for phone, drive-thru, kiosk and reservations, what it has announced, and which voice AI vendors to compare it with.

VoicePlug (it styles the name VOICEplug AI) fits a pizza or quick-service chain that wants one vendor for phone orders, the drive-thru, voice kiosks and OpenTable bookings, on a POS it names such as Toast, Square, Clover, FoodTec, Qu or InTouch. It prints no price. A single shop that wants a printed monthly price for phone orders should also look at Maple and Certus.

VoicePlug covers four channels and makes its own drive-thru hardware. It also sells its phone product to single locations, with self-serve setup and no long-term contracts. The table puts it next to five vendors a chain or an independent is likely to meet, each described from its own site.

## What does VoicePlug sell?

[VoicePlug's homepage](https://voiceplug.ai/) says it automates phone, drive-thru and kiosk ordering and reservations for single locations and chains, with POS and loyalty integrations. It sells five products: Phone AI, Drive-Thru AI, Kiosk AI, PizzaVOICE for pizza chains and ReserveVOICE for bookings. It says it serves restaurants in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Europe.

The [Phone AI page](https://voiceplug.ai/solutions/phone-ai/) covers pickup and delivery orders with modifiers, delivery addresses and zones, menu and allergen questions, current deals, after-hours calls and several languages. It lists FoodTec, Square, Clover, Toast, Qu, InTouch, Checkmate, Olo, Revel and NCR, and says VoicePlug's team handles the integration. For single locations it lists self-serve setup, live in days, and no long-term contracts.

The [Drive-Thru AI page](https://voiceplug.ai/solutions/drive-thru-ai/) pairs the software with VOICEpod, VoicePlug's own hardware. The page describes a unit under one-eighth of a cubic foot that detects cars, filters engine and wind noise, and works through your existing speaker, with processing on site, at the edge or in the cloud. The [Kiosk AI page](https://voiceplug.ai/solutions/kiosk-ai/) describes a voice kiosk, inside or outside the store, that shows the order on screen and can recognize returning guests by voice. [ReserveVOICE](https://voiceplug.ai/solutions/reservevoice/) books, changes and cancels OpenTable reservations by phone.

## What has VoicePlug announced, and when?

This timeline comes from VoicePlug's [about page](https://voiceplug.ai/about/) and its press releases. Customer names are the ones VoicePlug publishes.

    Date What VoicePlug says
July 2021 Builds its own voice models for ordering and files patents.
February 2022 Launches Phone AI commercially, with pilots at two regional brands.
November 2022 Launches VOICEpod and Drive-Thru AI, with a pilot at a national brand it does not name.
April 2023 Olga's Kitchen moves Phone AI to all its locations after a three-location start; Rusty's Pizza picks PizzaVOICE for all its locations.
January to March 2024 Says four national or regional pizza chains and two national quick-service brands chose it for takeout and drive-thru orders, without naming them.
June 2025 Completes a Qu-certified integration for phone and drive-thru orders.
  May 2026 Named a TiE50 winner at TiEcon 2026.
September 2026 Tacos El 24 runs Drive-Thru AI at all its Dallas-Fort Worth drive-thrus. VoicePlug reports more than 5,000 drive-thru interactions a month and an average of 87 seconds from greeting to kitchen for completed orders.

## How much does VoicePlug cost?

VoicePlug prints no price; each product page leads to a demo booking. For single locations, the phone page describes the cost as a fraction of one staff hour per call, with no figure. Ask for a written quote per location and per channel, with any charge for VOICEpod hardware, setup fees and the contract term.

For a phone-only comparison, two vendors print prices. Maple Pro is $350 a month on monthly billing or $220 a month billed yearly, and Certus's homepage table lists $250 a month with ordering.

## How should you check VoicePlug's figures?

VoicePlug's homepage prints outcomes: labor cost per order down 50 to 75%, average check up 12 to 25% from upselling, repeat orders up 15 to 20% within a month, and order abandonment below 1%. These are VoicePlug's own claims. The homepage does not say which stores or months they cover.

1. Ask which stores, formats and months each figure covers, and whether it counts completed orders or all calls.
2. Ask for a reference on your POS and in your format: a pizza chain, a quick-service lane or a single shop.
3. For the drive-thru, ask how crew take over mid-order and how fast they can switch the lane back.
4. Pull your average check before and after from your own POS reports.
5. Run a timed lane pilot with our [drive-thru pilot checklist](https://maple.inc/blog/ai-drive-thru-pilot-checklist).

## Which alternative fits which restaurant?

Chains buying phone and drive-thru together will meet ConverseNow and SoundHound, and Hi Auto sells the drive-thru alone. Our [drive-thru vendor comparison](https://maple.inc/blog/ai-drive-thru-vendors), [ConverseNow review](https://maple.inc/blog/conversenow-alternatives) and [Hi Auto review](https://maple.inc/blog/hi-auto-alternatives) cover them in detail.

A single restaurant that wants phone orders at a printed price can compare Maple Pro and Certus. Maple Pro takes phone orders into systems on the [integrations list](https://maple.inc/integrations), including Toast, Square, Clover and SkyTab (now [Shift4 Dine](https://releasenotes.shift4.com/announcements/skytab-is-becoming-shift4-dine)). Maple's [drive-thru unit](https://maple.inc/drive-thru) and [voice kiosk](https://maple.inc/kiosk) are in early access with a small number of restaurants, priced per unit with no public price.

## What should you test in a demo?

Send each vendor the same menu with a half-and-half pizza, a build-your-own item, a combo and a sold-out item. Place a phone order and a delivery order, then compare each POS ticket with what you said. For a lane or kiosk, test at your noisiest hour. Our [pizza shop phone ordering guide](https://maple.inc/blog/ai-phone-orders-pizza-shop-2026) and [menu preparation worksheet](https://maple.inc/blog/prepare-menu-ai-phone-ordering) set up the phone test, and the [voice kiosk guide](https://maple.inc/blog/ai-voice-kiosk) covers the counter.

*Published by Maple, which sells one of the products compared here. This AI-assisted guide combines each vendor's own website with VoicePlug's press releases and an original dated timeline. It does not report a test of any product, a quote, or an independent check of VoicePlug's results.*
